Sat Sri Akaal ji.
What a heavy few weeks it has been in East Africa and the United Arab Emirates. The torrential downpours have caused so much devastation and difficulty. My heart goes out to all those affected. In Dubai, flights have been grounded, while schools and offices have been shut—bringing daily routines to a halt. In East Africa, the loss of precious lives and the destruction of infrastructure, crops, livestock, and wildlife are truly heartbreaking.
My prayers are with our families, relatives, and friends in Kenya that you remain safe and are able to find moments of solace even in the face of such tragedy. I hope that this weather has not touched any of the people we hold dear, and that any damage or disruption is minimal.
While the present circumstances seem bleak, I know that the indomitable human spirit will prevail. Though separated by distance, we are all neighbours on this planet we call home. Your struggles are not unseen or unfelt. There are those keeping vigil with you even from afar.
The sun will shine again. Homes and roads will be rebuilt. Fields will again bear crops to feed communities. Normal life will resume. But for now, at this moment, stay strong. Comfort one another. Be grateful for what remains instead of mourning only what has been lost.
Most importantly, I believe bonds between people will grow even deeper. A shared experience of loss and rebuilding forges powerful connections. My hope is that when the clouds finally part, communities will emerge more united than ever.
Have faith in the resilience within yourselves. Tap into it and let it sustain you through each day. This too, shall pass. Brighter days are ahead! You will all celebrate together when the clouds have cleared and your lands have healed.
Once more, stay safe, stay blessed, and take care of one another.
Nanak Naam Chardi Kalah tere bhane, Sarbath da Bhallah.
WAHEGURU ji.
